I loved this course! Admin staff were friendly and present throughout the week; from the moment of arrival on the first morning, I started getting to know people from all the classes, not just the one I was enrolled in, which was very special. Great catering, excellent balance of class and additional elements. The room our course was held in was bright and light and large. The class size was just right. The tutor was excellent - Sally was unwaveringly positive, supportive, instructive and inspirational. She hit just the right tone and level with each member of a mixed-experience group. I will definitely recommend courses at Corban Estate and will enrol again myself. THANK YOU!
The Abstract Landscapes course in Corban Summer School was a fantastic experience. I had never painted in oils before nor in any other medium since primary school. Painting in oils is always something I have wanted to try. Unsurprisingly it was challenging, but our tutor was very encouraging, and my peers in the class, though mostly experienced and able, were very supportive. Interacting with participants in other courses at the Summer School was stimulating, as was being introduced to the wonderful Corban Estate Arts Centre.
Corbans Estate Arts Centre is highly organised and generous. We were kept well informed leading up to the course, were provided with all the materials we needed, were offered extra events (meeting artists etc drinks and nibbles provided). Course itself was fab. Great professional friendly tutor where I learnt so much
Can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience!
