This evening workshop will follow the basic structure of creating a layered portrait using oils. Designed to teach fundamental knowledge of oils alongside explorative ways on how to depict faces, there will be a focus on process, learning techniques and methodologies in approaching materials, paint application, colour theory and glazing.
Jean Stewart has a Master’s Degree in Design & Painting, is a practicing artist and a dedicated arts educator. She will guide you through a series of experimental exercises to complement each step, learning new skills and encouraging a unique approach for individual style. Sessions are relaxed and gentle, providing the materials and guidance to learn and develop in a friendly atmosphere.

- Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
- Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
- Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
- Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.
