Professional illustrator Stephanie Thatcher will guide you through the construction process of this sculptural workshop, creating a representation of your most favourite pet!

Capture all the characteristics and charm of your favourite animal companion, or the one you wish for.

Using moulding clay and wire, translate preliminary drawings into three-dimensional characters, before carefully sculpting details and features finishing with a painted coat to bring it to life.

Your Teacher

Thatcher lives in Huia, West Auckland, where she makes picture books alongside her freelance graphic design work. She has always loved books, spending much of her childhood lying around reading. She also loved drawing and painting, especially sketching people and animals.

ADULTS, YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S CLASSES/WORKSHOPS ENROLMENT POLICY

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.


SPECIAL ENROLMENT POLICY FOR GLASS CASTING WORKSHOPS

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking. Part Payment options are available at time of booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 10 days before the workshop commences results in a full refund of amount paid MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 10 days or on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given. You may nominate someone else to take your place before the class starts.
