Embark on a day of sensory delight and creative exploration! In this one-day workshop we'll be fully immersed in artistic expression through the use of a variety of tactile mediums. With a focus on drawing exploration, we'll begin by moulding and squishing bright coloured plasticine to create interesting shapes for our drawing inspiration. 

Then, using thick oil pastels, soft chalk pastels and even water-soluble pastels, shapes will emerge and translations of the 3D into 2D will begin to unfold. Taking photos of our plasticine creations, we'll then print, collage and overlay with more pastel to a result in a wonderful artwork, where the joy was all in the journey!

The Corban Estate Arts Centre is located in Henderson, West Auckland.

We’re home to artist studios, our very own cafe, art classes for adults, youth and children, and an ever-changing programme of exhibitions and events.

Set within park-like grounds amongst historic winery buildings. Open Monday to Saturday, entry is free, everybody’s welcome.

Great way to wrap up the school holidays at the always welcoming Corban Estate Arts Centre. Catherine was an amazing kaiako, who engages the tamariki creatively with explorative, interactive and inspiring ways.

ADULTS, YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S CLASSES/WORKSHOPS ENROLMENT POLICY

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking. Part Payment options are available at time of booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 10 days before the workshop commences results in a full refund of amount paid MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 10 days or on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given. You may nominate someone else to take your place before the class starts.
