Interdisciplinary artist Numa leads this engrossing and fun one day workshop, sharing the details of his fascinating and accessible art practice, and assisting participants in producing small carved woodblocks to be printed straight onto cloth.
Sketch and map out your own designs, layer with vibrant colour and explore using some of Numa’s own pre-cut woodblocks. Start with a provided pillowcase, but bring along anything that excites you; tea towels, t-shirts, tote bags or even a sheet! Just make sure it’s a natural fibre for the heat-set inks to be effective.
If we are in Covid Level 2 or Level 2.5 when the workshop goes ahead you will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the class.
The workshop will now take place in a large social-distancing friendly room called Projectspace.
This room is located on the lower floor of the Opanuku Building.
Please park in the lower car-park (straight ahead as you enter the estate), then follow the path between the large concrete vats. This path will lead you to a red doorway with double glass doors, go through them, then through the internal door straight ahead. Projectspace will now be the large room on your right.

- Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.
