Art Journaling is a fabulous way of getting creative for all those with limited time and or limited space. Working in an A4 sketchbook we will create page after page of amazing miniature artworks. A brilliant stress buster as well as a great introduction to a variety of mixed media techniques and processes.

The Corban Estate Arts Centre is located in Henderson, West Auckland.

We’re home to artist studios, our very own cafe, art classes for adults, youth and children, and an ever-changing programme of exhibitions and events.

Set within park-like grounds amongst historic winery buildings. Open Monday to Saturday, entry is free, everybody’s welcome.

Julie was a great teacher and showed us a lot of different techniques. I loved that we had access to a variety of supplies and materials - this gave us a chance to experiment and try them all out without having to buy them ourselves. My only suggestion is that we could have spent more time talking about what art journaling is and looking at a wider variety of examples. Like all artists, Julie has her own style, and some of the students (especially the less experienced ones) ended up with work that looked a lot like hers.

I really enjoyed this course and it was exactly what I was looking for. I have told friends about it and they are interested in going to the next one. Great teacher, really encouraging and happy for everyone to experiment and learn the different techniques she showed us. I want to go again so I can experiment more. I have not attended an art class in such a long time, I’m now going to keep an eye out for other courses because this was a really enjoyable experience, thanks Julie 😊

This Art Journaling class was an absolute delight! I wanted to treat myself to some creative me time, having done nothing like this for years. It was the perfect choice to start again with a wide variety of techniques and materials and just play. Julie was great, giving just the right amount of help where required and very knowledgeable and encouraging. She taught us so much in such a short time and I now have an accessible creative outlet in my busy life

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking. Part Payment options are available at time of booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 10 days before the workshop commences results in a full refund of amount paid MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 10 days or on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given. You may nominate someone else to take your place before the class starts.
