Venture out of your comfort zone and try our new adults Summer School workshop, Graffiti Masters. With over 15 years of graffiti painting experience, Dr. Bobby Hung aka Berst, will guide you in understanding the global phenomenon known as graffiti. You will develop a technical and creative competency in the various aspects of the graffiti lettering process. The workshop will give hands-on experience and a step by step process of graffiti from the conceptualisation of a sketch to a large scale piece on a wall.


Dr. Bobby Hung is a graffiti artist known under the name Berst. He has painted graffiti for 15 years and involved in a range of community centred projects with youth and visual arts education in the tertiary sector. Berst holds a PhD in Education from the University of Auckland and has been an art and design lecturer for the past nine years in the Creative Industries department at Unitec.

The Corban Estate Arts Centre is located in Henderson, West Auckland.

We’re home to artist studios, our very own cafe, art classes for adults, youth and children, and an ever-changing programme of exhibitions and events.

Set within park-like grounds amongst historic winery buildings. Open Monday to Saturday, entry is free, everybody’s welcome.

I highly recommend this course. The tutor is of very high calibre and an excellent teacher. In 5 days we went from knowing little to creating masterpieces to be proud of. Lots of time out there on the walls. I had a great time!

Bobby Hungs workshop was amazing. I really enjoyed the experience of learning the art form and the different aspects of it. The practical part using spray paint was really cool! I didn't know that we could do it in a short timeframe. The collaboration between all classmates has been awesome too, making some positive connections with all who were involved. I was truly inspired by Bobby's teaching and his passion for sharing his practice.

Awesome class. Very educational and the practical experience took me out of my comfort zone, physically and creatively demanding but so rewarding. As a teacher I can easily apply the learning to my class.

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.


SPECIAL ENROLMENT POLICY FOR GLASS CASTING WORKSHOPS

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking. Part Payment options are available at time of booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 10 days before the workshop commences results in a full refund of amount paid MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 10 days or on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given. You may nominate someone else to take your place before the class starts.
