Take part in this 5 day exploratory oil painting workshop, creating sketchbook content and building a body of work inspired by the heritage architecture and natural landscape of Corban Estate Arts Centre. Participants will be taught about colour theory, colour mixing and painting techniques with an emphasis on experimentation and individual development to suit all levels. All these learnings will then be combined to create a single abstract landscape masterpiece on canvas.

The Corban Estate Arts Centre is located in Henderson, West Auckland.

We’re home to artist studios, our very own cafe, art classes for adults, youth and children, and an ever-changing programme of exhibitions and events.

Set within park-like grounds amongst historic winery buildings. Open Monday to Saturday, entry is free, everybody’s welcome.

The week spent at Corban's Estate Arts Centre on the Abstract landscape was extremely rewarding, challenging and inspiring. I have learnt new skills in a highly supportive environment. The workshop was much better than a-lot of courses I have been on because Sally was willing to give time to help me. A fantastic week thank you!

Summer school with Sally Baron exceeded all my expectations.. The staff were very welcoming and supportive during the week. Sally is awesome, with her gentle but positive approach to learning, problem solving and new practices to take on board. This is the second year i have attended..last year with Tom Voice, can’t wait to see what is on offer next year!

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.


SPECIAL ENROLMENT POLICY FOR GLASS CASTING WORKSHOPS

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking. Part Payment options are available at time of booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 10 days before the workshop commences results in a full refund of amount paid MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 10 days or on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given. You may nominate someone else to take your place before the class starts.
