Functional or sculptural? This is an opportunity to discover and enjoy expressing your ideas with clay. While you follow your individual concept, you will be supported with demonstrations of a wide range of sculpting techniques, treating surfaces with textures, carvings, applications as well as decorating with slip colours and glazes.

The Corban Estate Arts Centre is located in Henderson, West Auckland.

We’re home to artist studios, our very own cafe, art classes for adults, youth and children, and an ever-changing programme of exhibitions and events.

Set within park-like grounds amongst historic winery buildings. Open Monday to Saturday, entry is free, everybody’s welcome.

I have not created with my hands since a child. I was so very nervous to start this class. Wow what an incredible experience it was. Kairava my tutor was so warm and inspiring and such a talented artist. She was able to bring out something in me I never knew I had, and the results are phenomenal to the point that I will do doing a second term and my friends have signed up to.

ADULTS, YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S CLASSES/WORKSHOPS ENROLMENT POLICY

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.


SPECIAL ENROLMENT POLICY FOR GLASS CASTING WORKSHOPS

  • A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking. Part Payment options are available at time of booking.
  • Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
  • Cancellation by participant up until 10 days before the workshop commences results in a full refund of amount paid MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
  • Cancellation by participant within 10 days or on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given. You may nominate someone else to take your place before the class starts.
